I stayed here for 4 months and it was okay at first. Some staff are amazing and others will pick favorites and treat others rudely. I appreciate everything they did to help me and gave me for my new place but I will never forget how staff did not communicate properly, or if they had a bad day they take it out on clients. I understand it is a hard job but issues would be brought up various times and never dealt with that involved serious safety concerns. Not all staff is the problem but there are a certain few who should consider a new field of work because they continuously made women who were going through the worst times of their lives have an even harder time. It should feel like a safe place but towards the beginning of this year it turned to feeling unsafe because of staff not doing what they should have and because some clients get away with more than others. Some staff will also use intimidation and fear tactics to control clients in numerous ways.

I was here with my 4 children many years ago as well, they absolutely helped us & relocated us to a shelter in Oregon in 2001, my youngest back then was 2 yrs old she's now an adult with children of her own. We all have great lives because of them, thank you thousand times over.
If you need help, don't be afraid to ask for it even if this is not the place you end up dont give up. There is NO price for piece of mind !!

I was there many many years ago and they were very helpful to myself and my children, there was a client advocate there by the name Mary. She was phenomenal! St. Jude was life changing and for the better. Thank you St. Jude, you all saved my life...
