Three years ago, 2020, my two daughters and I were in a domestic crisis due to my ex husband. The help, care and support I received was exactly what I needed to get through the worst of my situation. They hosted small get togethers with other women in the area going through crisis as well and those get togethers also helped me. They also connected me with a youth crisis person for my daughters. Each person's situation will vary and their experiences aren't all the same.

Don't go. Find another county and better yet, another State. Southern Minnesota favors men even in domestic violence and especially in the South. This Center has a history of people being hurt or at least not helped by them. Beware. The State of Minnesota lumps domestic violence victims with mental health and blamed the victim. Too Republican. Steer clear.
