It is better then living on the street be grateful

well my advice is that anyone who is thinking of going to that shelter I will tell you this: the rooms are small but that's nothing the hard thing is that there are stupid rules like the fact that you can't eat in your room you can't cook because they give 3 meal times you cannot bring a lot of clothes or things for your baby everything is controlled at the exit you have to sign and leave your key and when you enter again sign to be able to go up to the room you do not have a private bathroom everything is shared and not to mention from the bad temper of the administration of that place please that is not a good place for you and your baby.

I was there in 2006. I had my son living here and the staff was ok. Well, the ones I dealt with. You don't have to share a room but you have to share bathrooms and a shower area. They cook 3 meals a day. The shelter is what you make it. Take care of your business so you can get yourself a place. They will help if you help yourself.

Staff here is extremely rude, they talk about the girls who live here, the girls are allowed to bully each other, there have been several fights here, harassment is allowed to go on without anyone getting reprimanded(that's why the fights break out). The woman(Ms.Tangy) who cooks the food there talks about the girls with other girls, she gossips about everyone's business, she plays favorites and she's a tells the caseworkers what the girls talk about and what they do, in other words, she's a big snitch. Mind you, on more than one occasion, her food gave people diarrhea.

I was in Siena House for 7 months I had a good experience they helped me find a place I'm living in now. The rooms are small but they are comfortable, the food they give you is home cook meals. The staff is okay they help people that really wants to be helped, but best of all its CLEAN and NO BUGS.
