This place should be ASHAMED of themselves, and shut down! They do not even deserve ONE star, but I had to give 1 star, in order to write this review. This shelter helps the people who straight up LIE about being abused to get help they DON'T NEED, and yet the REAL women and children fleeing from abuse and DV (with PROOF from police, court, etc) are turned away and given NO shelter, support, or resources. This place is a JOKE. They do not help victims and children. Instead, they help the low lifes, drug addicts and alcoholics, who are too lazy to work and instead choose to abuse the system and a program meant for those truly in need. The employees are terrible and the director is even WORSE!

Artemis staff are utterly uneducated about domestic abuse and no more than an operator that simply reads off the phone numbers of homeless shelters instead of providing domestic violence resources and support for you and your children. One staff member kept arguing with me about how 1:4 men experience intimate partner violence (which is false), instead of providing resources and support, especially for mothers seeking safety from their abuser.

Husband & I were physically assaulted today (07.10.24 @ 4:15p) by Director, Myiesha Sancho. We were clearly targeted as she had her family member use a weapon against us and I am 7 mo pregnant.
Please check the Better Business Bureau for an in depth take on what this shelter is really like.
The Director of PHFS Myiesha told my husband “Hm, sorry you have to deal with that” after I got upset at her offering my service animals items that would have made them sick. She also drives around with expired dealer tags & parks in the only handicapped space at the shelter with no handicapped sticker/tag (picture attached below).
When you request the CEO, Joe Meyer, the pages simply block you and you’re told to deal with staff onsite that have no clue how to handle anything. Including just doing their own job.
We’ve been given money by staff (and paid with back with interest) which is against the rules. We’ve been told to sell our SNAP benefits which is a federal crime. Staff has in our face spoke about us to other staff members then expected to be respected afterwards. The pest control is minimal despite the building being hoarded with insects. You will be forced to pay out of pocket for pest control if you don’t want critters climbing on your children. And most importantly, staff will LIE to cover up any of their wrongdoings and then write you up every other day to ensure your time is minimal there instead of being reprimanded themselves.
I would never put investment dollars to this company. I will be reaching out to each investor they have with photo, video & email proof to show the negligence. This company values fancy dinners with investors while telling residents “We have no funding to help you move.”
Makes complete sense.
