Saving Grace

Im a trafficking survivor and have been homeless for almost two years one year as a result of captivity. I called for help with housing after a long ordeal bouncing around in washington after getting free… They basically told me the help they could offer is a bus ticket. Offensive doesnt cover how little they helped me

If you call and get Wendy on the line don't expect to get ANY sort of help. Especially if your in danger and need help getting to medical attention. She is the worst and has absolutely no empathy or understanding of human life. She will run you in circles when you need help the most only to provide absolutely no help after you jump through hoops in a dangerous situation needing medical attention and to get to safety. Heartless doesn't even begin to describe her egregious lack of compassion and empathy.

After 20 years of abuse I finally called a couple days ago….took me hours to work up the courage to call…poured my heart out sobbing to the “caring professional” on the phone. She responded with a lot of long pauses and emotionless “mmm hmm, yeah” at one point I told her I was struggling to stay alive and a solid 10 second awkward moment of silence happened before she replied “mm hmm yeah” followed by another long pause which showed me she wasn’t listening and could clearly care less. Finally she offered to have an advocate reach out to me and after several days I have heard from no one…I guess they don’t actually care at all
