SafeHaven of Tarrant County - Forth Worth

Sad to say but this place is not helpful at all ! I am a domestic abuse victim called for intake and they asked a few questions to see if I qualify and my phone died from the heat outside walking and Crystal the lady who answered didn’t know who I was on phone with said they don’t have any of the things I needed didn’t finish questions - she then said we do not have housing , we have a thrift store Berrys but you need to Pay!!! Can I see a lawyer I have issues with my landlord wants….. she then replied I dont have assistance for you it was three years ago …. You have issues with your landlord. Any woman who has been abused, mentally emotionally, verbally, financially and physically are Abused women no matter what the time frame is …. Period! People , men ans well are coming forward after 30 years getting retribution. Trauma is trauma. The building is beautiful, the parking lot empty as 1000,s of women walk homeless and or go back to their abusers! Thankfully my cell phone I got from lifeline records all conversations….. blow the whistle !!! Shame on you two women who dropped the ball and exposing who you are!

I've been trying to get help from safe haven for over a year. After reading the comments, I'm better off without safe haven because I'd be going through the same exact thing I've been going through, minus the physical abuse. This place needs a whole sweep to get rid of EVERY SINGLE staff member who isn't talking their position seriously and be replaced with staff members who will treat everyone with care. God knew what he was doing when he kept allowing them to deny me.

This place is bogus. They tried to throw shade on my name telling my partner I quit their program when actually they let me go cause I would speak about how unfairly I was treated and couldn't voice about my mentality. They speak about helping men cope but cater to the female aspects of the situations. Of course I admit my wrong doings and taking accountability, but they offer No actual help. I definitely don't recommend any offender seeking help to go through this program. They're here to help trigger you and set you up to fail.
