Recovery Place/Women's Residential is a disservice if you are in need of treatment for addiction. They have no structure when it comes to the clients and care plans or recovery. Being a resident there it takes roughly 2-3 months before you are able to speak with a case manager/counselor. While you attending these groups which are lead off by readings of worksheets daily. Through that wait time your needs are put to the side. Which I think is bogus. They provided me with a handbook which I went by and when followed I was punished because the handbook was outdated. At that point everyone was given a new handbook. Being a resident at Women's Residential I was not aware on how a book study should be held. During book study the ladies were doing nails, reading novels, chatting and some even playing board games. Nothing to do with AA/NA. I reported it and I was told I should take the lead. How, I was thinking when I am new to recovery myself. NO STRUCTURE. Keep in mind we had to sit outside in the heat/ rain. The Case Manager/Counselor have no respect that you are in recovery unless you have a TANF case or DRUG COURT. Then they kind of handle you with a little care. The only care they have is Cares's and Concerns. Which that has absolutely nothing to do with treatment. That's a form of being messy. If the 24 supervision was actually happening you wouldn't need a care and concern. My experience at Women's Residential has been a living nightmare. No to mention the maintenance man is sexual inappropriate. I was told to not say anything and a week later was discharged not only by false cause but with no concerns on if I had anywhere to go. The focus there is fantasizing, and they still had residents who came there with liquor in water bottles. I can go on and on. The top concern is paying $125 and if you can handle being talked to in a DISGRACEFUL way and love a chaotic environment take that risk. KEEP COMING BACK !

Unless something has really changed in the 3 years since my daughter was an inpatient, these comments on the 1 star reviews are way off base. Read them with skepticism. Recovery Place has over 30 years experience and would not be around if it was not working. Recovery Place was just what my daughter needed and saved our lives.
