I LIVED AT PROMISE HOUSE WITH MY TWIN BOYS . AND WHILE PREGNANT! I APPRECIATE EVERYTHING THE STAFF HAS DONE FOR ME I GREW GREAT BONDS WITH ALL OF THEM , ESPECIALLY MY CASE MANAGER MRS .TAMEKA SHE HELPED ME WITH SO MUCH AND CONTINUED TO PUSH ME TO BE THE BEST SHE KNEW I COULD BE I STILL HAVE WORK TO DO ON MY SELF BIT IF IT WASN'T FOR ALL OF THEM ID STILL BE IN THE SAME SITUATION I WAS IN BEFORE I WENT TO PROMISE HOUSE . I LOVE THE STAFF THERE HARD ON YOU AT TIMES BUT ITS NOT HARD TO FOLLOW A FEW RULES ITS THE CLEANEST PLACE/ SHELTER IVE EVER BEEN IN , U CAN PREPARE MEALS OR SOMETIMES THE STAFF DOES AND WHEN I SAY THEY CAN COOK THEY CAN COOK .. MY KIDS ARE IN DAYCARE IN WORKING WHILE 6 MONTHS PREGNANT I HAVE A DEPENDABLE LIVING SITUATION AND JUST GOT MY OWN TRANSPORTATION. THANKS TO ALL THE STAFF AND GETTING ME WHERE I AM TODAY I LOVE YOU ALL .

I Stayed for 2 months helped me get an apartment. It clean, nice and very loving staff, they make you feel like you’re at home. Helped me actually put my kids on a schedule and learn how to manage my time properly. Just building me into a stronger woman and confident mother over all love the promise house n staff 🥰🥹💖

When I was here 3 months ago everything was fine at first but then me and my roommates started recieving blatant disrespect from the staff. We informed our case manager ms Crystal but she manipulated the situation and said that me and my roommates were in a pack and tried to blame everything on us she was being very biased. Couple days later she tried to give me a violation for no reason. She also yelled at me because one of her staff lied on me stating I was disrespectful in the morning time which wasn't true ms Crystal also yelled at me in the morning time when I was on my way to work. I informed higher up all they did was cover for her when she called me to sign paperwork she said that she feels I didn't need to be there because I was in college had a job and a car. This place is nothing but favoritism and disrespect. Before I left they had new staff there so hopefully whoever now comes won't receive that same treatment me and my roommates had received.

I actually hate this place. I came here as a teen and it actually ruined my life. I know that sounds like a bit of an exaggeration but they totally separated me from my childhood friends and even family. I remember crying and i was treated really badly by a (Jamaican) counselor. They took my close. They humiliated me in group sessions. We were all different ages and in different grades and we call went to school together. Im so surprised this dump is still open. I always vowed when i got older I would warn parents to NEVER take their child to this place or any place similar to it. I see it says they are only taking young adults 18-24 and they should have NEVER taken teens in the first place. My mom was literally abusive and put a gun to my head. When I reported her to a counselor she said i felt my mother owed me something. Like what?! I’m sorry i had to experience this at the time but with that being said i really hate this place.

I came telling them I was struggling with depression and suicidal thoughts and when I had a mental breakdown they forced me to go to the mental health hospital and left. When I was released the lady wouldn't let me in saying that since I was admitted I wasn't allowed to stay. Since there was no place for me to go they let me stay the night and said they would give me 3 days to find somewhere to go, the next morning she told me to grab some things and I had to leave. They said they would keep my other belongings until I was able to get them some place since I was short on money, when I was finally able to get my stuff they wouldn't answer my phone calls or text. Months later I get a text saying that my stuff was gone and they wouldn't tell me where my stuff was. I'm talking clothes, documents, shoes, personal belongings. All just gone. No matter times I try to get someone on the phone they don't answer. I feel like I should report them or something.
