Great thrift store. Perfect combo of chaos, organization and price

Project Safe is supposed to care and protect people that have been abused. My daughter and I was in the shelter part as well as the unit ( apartment) by them as well. They claimed that the unit was compromised (meaning we said where it was at). They came to the unit this past Friday and said that we (my daughter and I had to leave by Monday). Here is something that was told to me by them, "if you allow your daughter to stay at the shelter she can and you can go to your abuser and come back after three weeks." How can they even suggest such a thing? There are staff that are caring then have some that aren't. Another thing during our stay at the shelter we (my daughter and I) seen a family separated. Like I said Project Safe supposed to care and protect abused woman and children plus men that also been abused.

Nice thrift store but it is hard to donate furniture. Not because they don't want it, but because the young lady who takes the phone is rude and does not communicate well with the rest of the staff.

My daughter and 4 children were recently in this shelter. At first things were good. After about a month the roaches got so bad in the whole building and they were not able to get it under control. My daughter was constantly trying to keep things in order, but her roommate also had 4 kids equaling 2 adults and 8 kids in a 2 bedroom apartment!! Anyone with kids know how hard it is to keep up a house with 2-3 kids can you imagine 8?? After continuously writing her up because everything was not in perfect order they had her exit abruptly as well as her roommate. She was not able to take all her clothes a food and was to have 2 weeks to get it. They gave every thing she and her kids had away. Didn't do ANYTHING they promised her they would do to help her out,now she is homless with absolutely nothing. They are as bad as her abuser!!

Overall my favorite thrift store in town!! The only place I'll actually donate items to, and a Great Place to shop, ESPECIALLY when they do their 'fill up a bag' deals! Also, cheapest place to buy books in town, and if you've got young kids, they even have a Lil reading corner!
