Always friendly staff and willing to help. Even unexpectedly when I called they couldn't quite give me an answer however the lady called me back after diligently and unknowingly to me work so hard to get me the right answer from an attorney. That made me feel great about their work behind the scenes. My attorney Gabbie is fierce. She great to work with, thorough, gives amazing advice, and doesnt take nonsense from anyone. Very educated in her field to battle just about anyone. Highly recommend!

I’ve always heard nothing but great things about Prairie State Legal Services…. But……… I can’t say that I agree. Attorney is nice enough & will give good advice while you’re speaking in person AFTER a court date, but refuses to email back, call back, etc, after WEEKS of trying to contact. Even the office won’t accept calls. It rings once or twice after you dial the prompt to speak with someone & then it doesn’t give you any other option but to leave a vm… and you still don’t get a call back. I’m sure they figure that since they’re providing a free service, they don’t need to actually help any? I don’t really know. It’s frustrating, to say the least.

This place is a joke. They do an intake and then someone reaches out to you a few days later and basically wastes your time with a bunch of jabber that most people already know when it comes to Unemployment laws in Illinois. After all of that waste they then contact you with another attorney to go over the same exact thing. Except the attorney that I spoke with Denise Bezick seemed to have a communication barrier while I was answering her questions. This lasted for 10 minutes basically going back and forth and around in circles several times during the phone call. They wait till the last minute to decide if they will represent you or not and then only to be told they wont. I asked her why and she stated it was because we don't have an attorney available but not because I did not have a case. I confirmed that with her and then she said no it was not that but then repeated what she had just said again which was the same thing that an attorney wasn't available. Very incompetent!
