About This Service
For over 140 years, Philly House—formerly known as Sunday Breakfast Rescue Mission—has been a physical and spiritual sanctuary. As the city’s largest and longest-running homeless shelter for men, we open our doors 365 days a year and offer a safe, clean refuge off the streets.

First time here Glory to Almighty God first on everything and for everyone.. Got here yesterday. There hospitality is great with no attitude from the door. Clean place up to par and help with what you need; according to hygiene products, underwear and with their personality. Thank Almighty God for a place like this and people - with respect still exist in humanity. Matthew 25; 36-38 amen

The city's least adequate homeless shelter. No one should have to sleep here with the lights on continuously, day and night. The inability to get proper rest is a violation of basic rights. The administration at Philly House is completely incompetent. Many staff members do not possess the required skills and professionalism to run the shelter properly. This facility should have been shut down months ago. I would not recommend that anyone spend the night here.

This place saved my life. It granted me a bed, a meal, a shower, and safety during a really cold winter. The spiritual care coordinator worked to get me into a job readiness program where I am working to get back on my feet. Everything that happened at Philly house was God intervening to save my life from perpetual homelessness and depression
