Parkland hospital is bias against women who are 40 and over for having babies, unfortunately I had my baby there never given birth to any of my other kids there. The doctors/nurse practitioners especially the older practitioner women are very negative about you being pregnant and your pregnancy. The word advanced maternal is such a bias and awful word to use towards a woman who just want to have kids without being told she's too old to give life to another beautiful life. It's so abhorrent that this hospital treat women who are older for having babies past a certain age. Parkland should be supportive of ANY woman decision no matter what they think or feel, remember the people there have a brain and a degree that qualifies them to be humans NOT GODS. I wish I could find good things to say about them. I felt like they would have let me died after giving birth to my baby.

I’ve never been to parkland for any medical needs. But I did try to go visit my sister in labor in delivery today Sunday 8/7/22 @ about 1:30pm. I understand we are still in a pandemic and hospitals have procedures to follow. I get that. But the women at the general entrance sitting at the door explained the policy in such a rude/disrespectful way After she was done explaining I ask could she call up (because She just called for the older Hispanic woman before me) so I could be put on the visitor list and she snapped then handed me a peace of paper with the number on it so I could call myself, while pointing me in the direction of the exit. Not only that but when I turned to walk away she made nasty comments about me in Spanish to her associate next to her . Like she just assumed I didn’t speak Spanish because I’m melanated the audacity, my mother from Mexico. That’s was just my experience at the entrance.

I just got discharged from pod H. When I arrived I I was asked what brought me to the hospital, I stayed I had a cough and believed the pneumonia I had previously been treated for might be back. I waited 4 hours to be seen, and when I finally got assigned a room (Pod H) I was treated very disrespectfully by the charge nurse named Lilly and was belittled and discriminated against by the nurse who stated I was unable to pay for my medication or service and that is why I was at this hospital which was in the disrespectful assumption. The doctor bedside manner was very aggressive and many of the staff acted like they did not want to do their job. This hospital needs to be fined and must train their employees to be respectful and empathetic towards their patients.

I am giving Five stars because of the Lady named Deann Reynolds in the Business Office. This woman was very very helpful and she seemed to really care about patients and people in general. Ms. Deann I want to personally tell you publicly thank you. Thank you so much for helping me help my brother. When life has so much going their is people like you to help guide and help through tough times. When we came in on yesterday you were most helpful. We did not have to wait long at all. I thank you a million. Your a blessing and please keep your heart because it is such a light in a dark world. Thank you Parkland for hiring such a beautiful being.

My boyfriend has been sitting there since 11:30am and it's currently 8:13pm. He has a permanent catheter that is in abdomen. It drains the urine from his bladder. It has ripped and is leaking. He has wet himself but they don't see it as a priority!!! This a tube that is coming out of his body!!! I live 3hrs away but if I was there I would've taken him to Baylor Scott White in Irving. They are the best in caring for their patients in the emergency room!!! When I lived in Dallas I never went to Parkland. I went to St. Paul and boys were born there. Parkland sucked back then and still does. You know the people that are giving 5 ⭐ have to be workers!!
