As a DV VICTIM all my life unfortunately, as a child, now a adult I'm quite Familiar w/ Domestic shelters and places that are "SUPPOSED" to HELP VICTIMS I say supposed cause my whole life, again, been in the system I've tried to go to places to get help, get away from the violence, get a career, get a education, get a job, get a car, but that's NEVER BEEN THE CASE MY WHOLE LIFE. THIS PLACES PROMISE TO HELP DV VICTIMS all they do is give you numbers to call, addresses to go to (common sense if ur a DV VICTIM they don't even let u go outside or out just like that), if ur lucky you will get to 1 good address that might help a bit. But all this places and numbers and lists. Are USELESS AND DO NOT HELP THE DV VICTIMS. WE NEED ACTUAL HELP. JOBS, EDUCATION because if we can get those 2 things then we can succeed in life, be Able to leave the Abusers, and live a Comfortable SAFE PEACEFUL LIFE WITH OUR CHILDREN. 🧿 So disappointed at this place. VICTIMS also need constant GUIDANCE MOST OF US DID NOT HAVE PARENTS, orphan or foster kids. How can we get ahead and better at life, if no one not only shows us, constantly support us, GUIDES US, encourages us and FULLY UNDERSTAND IT IS NEVER A VICTIM'S FAULT for being in the current situation they're in. Also most DV VICTIMS do not have cars so need help with transportation, they are good with that but ALSO ONLY WHEN ITS AVAILABLE.
