This organization provides a variety of prevention services to the Berks County community, addressing problems and risks associated with alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs; violence; teen pregnancy; abuse; crime; school dropout; and other related social issues. They offer programs such as the Circle of Friends Drop-In Center, the Northeast Community Springboard Coalition and Project Peace, EDUCATION Leading to Employment and Career Training (ELECT) Program, Kids Against Pressure (KAP), Nurse-Family Partnership, and Parents as Teachers Program. The Center serves adult consumers of mental health services, empowers youth to prevent substance use, and supports pregnant and parenting youth. They also provide internship opportunities, conflict resolution training, and funding opportunities through various grants and contracts.
