I agree with all of the other 1 star reviewers on here. I called today I was referred to their organization I explained the urgency of my situation. She wanted me to wait until tomorrow for a call back. I explained the urgency w/needing the document to file at the court because the Court closed at noon the next day when I asked her to escalate the call she told me that whoever I talk to you is going to tell me the same thing but she put me on hold for 25 minutes left me hanging when I called back to see why she left me on hold for so long she said that she was answering other calls sooooo apparently when you're in an urgent situation she's chooses to put you in space hold and when I called back she hung up on me. Apparently my life is not important to her. This place is a joke but they get their state and federal funding every year so you know there's that!

I can see why this place has negative reviews. They are unprofessional in getting more people to help join their organization with delayed responses and an unreasonable expectations. It's very sad because a lot of people are in need of these types of services and certainly can benefit from more staff to help them. Next door also has low boundaries and does not take the hint if you are not interested in joining their team, which only adds to the poor experience. Its no mystery why some who have reviewed on here, Google reviews, that they haven't received the help they need from Next door. Reflect on this if an organization can't get it together to get more help, volunteers, staff, etc then how can they satisfactorily help people who contact them to receive help or resources. No thanks, I want nothing to do with Next door. Btw, avoid Millicent F she is not only passive aggressive she is rude.

This place is a joke. If you ever find your self in need of help, don’t call this place. They will ask you many personal questions only to give you a number for a shelter. I could have done that myself via google. The housing department is horrible. The person whom called me made me extremely uncomfortable, when I reached back out to next door solutions to place my concern, they said they will have someone else call me back. Only to have the same person call me back. Useless place. If you plan on donating here, Please donate elsewhere such as sacred heart, or Salvation Army where they will actually help people.
