I saw Dr Ruberu because I was experiencing symptoms and was referred for an ultrasound, which showed an ovarian cyst. When I tried to schedule a follow-up with the doctor to discuss the results, I was told she had no availability for over two months. Instead, the office insisted I see a nurse practitioner, telling me she was “the same thing” because she had been trained by the doctor.
Consultation is $275 regardless. The nurse practitioner appeared uncertain and told me the cyst would likely go away on its own. I was advised to take supplements such as beef liver powder and was sent home thinking everything was fine. I was relieved.
A few hours later, I received a call from the office saying the doctor had reviewed the notes and disagreed. Suddenly I was told the cyst would not go away on its own and that I needed a progesterone injection. The fact that two providers in the same office gave completely different diagnoses and treatment plans within hours was alarming.
When I called to schedule the injection, the staff member I spoke with (Joanne) was extremely rude and condescending. It made me pause. Thank you, rude Joanne, you actually saved me from making a mistake.
What concerned me most was how quickly a hormone injection was recommended without a full diagnostic workup. I decided to seek a thorough evaluation elsewhere. After comprehensive testing in Europe—including hormonal panels and detailed imaging—I was diagnosed with endometriosis and an endometriotic cyst, which does not resolve on its own. Plus extremely low amh hormone.
*I had also clearly told Dr Ruberu that I planned a pregnancy within a year, yet no fertility-related tests (such as AMH or other hormonal evaluations) were ordered here.
My current clinic was shocked by the prescription of progesterone, lack of testing, treating cyst issue separately from absolutely anything it might effect. Just trying to make cyst go away with progesterone, completely ignoring anything else.
I see another review that a woman was proscribed progesterone shot and it went horrible. Causing exactly what I was told by my current doctor it could do to me.
Dr Ruberu could order all necessary tests, including fertility related ones. But, why if they can treat one isolated symptom at once, charge you for the visit and train their NPs at your expense.
Meanwhile proscribing breathing exercises and beef liver while you have endometriosis and critically low AMH hormone.
I still can’t believe that I was charmed on a first visit by “natural” approach. Because hey, coffee is bad for you, but let me shoot a horse dose of progesterone without even checking your hormones or what kind of cyst you have.
To be honest, to all the women, I recommend going outside of US. Doing all the testing, ultrasounds, consultation and treatments in one clean modern clinic for the price of 2 visits here.
Last thing. Before you schedule a visit with Dr.Ruberu, just read their responses on negative reviews. They are so passive aggressive and unprofessional. I wish I noticed it before. It says a lot about who they are.

Response:
Specifically asking the Catholic doctor to accommodate a high risk patient (who cares about the vulnerable) by wearing a mask during a patient exam seems like it shouldn't have been a big deal.
It's something Dr. Ruberu did regularly in hospital settings when she did deliver babies. Response was "no."
Asked for an accommodation as a high risk patient but the response received was unprofessional. Don't doctors mask at hospitals when delivering babies? Would not accommodate a high risk patient in the office.
Asked another office who instantly said, "no problem!"

The most incredible medical care I have ever received. Dr Ruberu and Caitlin are so kind. They have made me feel so supported emotionally and physically through a miscarriage and postpartum hormonal changes. I cannot recommend NWH enough! This is how medial care should be. They’re responsive to messages, calls, bloodwork results etc. They have longer wait times for appointments, but it’s because when they’re seeing you they take their time to hear your concerns and address them accordingly. The best trade off! 🤍
