My Sister’s Place

The staff members here are very disrespectful instead of communicating with their team of employees they blame everything on the residents(me) particularly. They have not understand that the room is not gonna be clean to a t every second of the day. I noticed that like Brenda west says about her family member, they do harass u in whatever ur doing, even the case managers. I believe this place is worse than actually dealing with ur abuser. Also they don’t wash the plates good sometimes they still have food particles on them. Yuck. And the food is not good. It really needs salt and pepper.

I have a love one in My Sister Place in District of Columbia. Since she been there her case manager did not offer the assistance nor resources she needed. Any resources she learned through being at this center came from the other resident. Now she is being given a 15 days notice to vacate instead of receiving help by re-assigning her to another case manager. She's carrying for multiple children and this type of stress is not needed while seeking for a safe haven and/or house for her and her family through this shelter. Case managers are their to work with their clients not against them. Due to the response and murmuring of staff member at Sister Place gave her the indication that her privacy act is being breached and shared with other.

Worst place ever! Does not do what they say. You’ll be in the same situation a year later maybe worst. Some one threatened my life in there with a weapon and staff was there. I had to call the police myself. You and your kids are not safe there. I contacted the councilman to help me and they got him fired. It’s not worth it. They getting paid to help you and do a very poor job.
