Y'know what, no, after reading the most recent review, I'm redacting my three-star review and giving it a one-star. I'd give it zero stars if I could. Having been here personally myself, against my will by my mom and stepdad when I had no other choice, for a month and a half back from late December-mid February, it was one of the worst experiences ever in my life. Let's start with what that previous review covered; the forcing of religion onto you. Yes, they literally force you to attend religious-based services each night they have them in order to stay at their shelter, which, mind you, is literally ILLEGAL, but oh, they can get away with it since they're privately funded, not state-funded. Second, and this is a part some of y'all might not like, but it's important to me... Their treatment of LGBTQ+ people, myself included, is horrendous. So see, I'm trans (MtF), and I had to register there under my deadname as it's my legal name, and nearly the whole time, I was deadnamed and misgendered constantly (and I'm legally female, it says so on my ID!), and it really took a toll on me but I had no choice to accept it, since, y'know, I was homeless! I was lumped into the men's shelter, since I still have the... "equipment" down there I was born with, and I felt constantly threatened, not to mention dehumanized, considering, well, I'm trans. But I bet the other guys I was with in that shelter just saw me as "some gay guy," not as a girl at all. Like, I didn't choose to be this way... All in all, wrapping this up, I very much would NOT recommend staying here, I only did since I was forced into it and had no other choice. With that, that is all. - Ava
