Missouri WIC Program

I want to share my experience with WIC on Glenstone avenue Springfield Missouri. I'm a father of an adult daughter who has a young child. I have never been to a place like this, where benefits are made available to those who are needy. I had my ideas of what I would expect but I was wrong. The people at WIC on Glenstone avenue were kind, considerate and very professional. In no way were we belittled or made to feel ashamed. My experience with government or public entities has not always been so positive. I just wanted to say thank you. Respectfully, a greatful father in Springfield MO

Ms Tawana at this Wic office is amazing very professional, polite, proficient, and always willing to help. I would give her 10 stars if I could.

I was told by one of the employees that they never answer their phones or return phone calls because they are understaffed and that the person in charge of hiring people to fix that problem says that the people have to meet a certain criteria or in other words a certain look because it doesn’t matter your level of experience it matters if they like you or not I also was told that if they can’t find somebody that they like to fill the positions they take the job listing down. It took me almost 3 months to even get someone to call me back to get on WIC. This is unacceptable!! When I finally did get a WIC appointment, I got a card but the system was down so I couldn’t get a pin I was told I would hear back from them as soon as possible I still haven’t received a pin and when I tried to call them, wouldn’t you know it? I can’t get a hold of anybody.
