Consider this place your very last resort at the bottom of your list if you have no other option. This place is very depressing and it gets to you very easily, very suffocating. My best friend is staying here, currently 21 weeks pregnant, she goes to work almost everyday working 12 plus hours at the hospital, she’s not one of those lazy bums who sits around and does nothing like half the people there. Their “legal” admin team is no help, so consider that a loss if you’re going through anything legal and need assistance from them regarding that. They give a lot of people false hope regarding a roof over your head, you can be kicked out to the streets at anytime due to “funding” so consider that as well. All of the staff seems very rude and condescending. The only nice staff there and actually listens to you is Kayla, so I’ve been told.

From what I seen on here in reviews, I am absolutely terrified to even try to apply here and I would rather sleep in my car. I'm a decent pretty woman and I see that they are judgemental and I've dealt with that bs my whole life, I don't need it from a shelter who is supposed to help people. Too many bad reviews, too recent. I have a stalker on my hands and sleeping outside is risky for me but hey, at least I'll have some peace of knowing I didn't get kicked out, lied on, mistreated, and judged by OTHER WOMEN. Shame on you Middle Way House. ! Do better !

I was placed here and completed all of requirements like becoming a Monroe county resident dealt with things that were not my issues and then placed on the streets due to funding and which I had received assistance to move and wasn't and still haven't been my son was enrolled in school in which I had to go back to where we ran from and there are no shelters in Indianapolis which they gave shelter listings for other dv shelters which were not available and everything we owned up til this point is still in Bloomington per H4H so although Im one of few whom may have experienced this but it would be a no for me to many false hope and discrimination and favoritism all are huge factors!
