Make sure you do your research before you go! Friendly staff. This place saved my life. The food portions and quality were great. Smoking is ONLY allowed at Centerpoint(on the hill)….at least for now it is…if you go to Med-detox(new place down the hill that share a building with BHUC and CSU) they will not let you smoke.Period. I was there as a part of one of the I first groups to sleep in the facility. I was completely in the dark, the staff who were doing their best without the tools they needed to facilitate the 6 or 7 people in my group did good, considering they could not leave us to go get the essentials made thing challenging. Everything is clean and new, UNLIKE Center point(Facility on the hill) it is nicer down at Med-detox(down the hill) however that’s just something to consider. All contingent upon the idea that you are gonna get out of your recovery what you put in. This is a closed unit meaning it is locked down for everyone’s safety. They provided nicotine gum or a patch. In Medical-detox you cannot smoke for the length it takes the client to complete the detox program. Depending on the individual, circumstances, and personal willingness. Program generally lasts 5-7 days as the average length of stay. Some people come in and stay longer or leave sooner. The point is not to leave. Even though you can leave anytime you want if it’s not a good fit but I encourage you to give it a chance. It’s a safe place to detox-chemically. Good caring staff! They were very patient and short handed but the lack of counselors left us bored most of the time but I got into a routine. After all that I remember thinking to myself, I needed the discipline because of my poor concept of time.
