We used to donate here all the time & buy tickets to events to support this place but when a single battered mother was in need this place just gave them run around. Didn't follow through with someone who was really and truly in need! Makes me wonder what other women have faced a similar situation and have not received the help promised to them just to be left with empty words of empathy is really sad a pathetic.Was told they need to continue to check in. Which was being done for weeks!! But if your on a waiting list you think okay my turn will come right?? Certinally they will call I've kept in touch done my part But No, why no call? no follow up? Nobody Ever Called! Nobody ever even bothered!!! This place likes shows to the community they do so much good but what the community doesn't hear are these situations where they fail BIG time, a single battered mother with multiple children with no place to go. Who was told she would have a place But couldn't even get a phone call.DO BETTER!!! NO EXCUSES!!! |

Savannah Pena rated 1 a year ago I let Martha's home know my situation with me being homeless with 2 kids and due at the end of this week with my 3rd, they told me they would have 2 openings within a couple weeks and they'd let me know..well they didnt let me know anything and I call to check in for the 3rd time and now they're full again. Just very frustrated bc this place was literally my last hope for me and my kids and they couldn't even simply call me and let me know that we weren't chosen to receive help |
Naturally Exquisite rated 5 2 years ago This place is an exceptional example of giving back to the community. An exceptional program. Well ran, well organized and always available to help. I recently had the distinguish pleasure of visiting the homes as a guest to spend the labor day holidays and the ladies cooked as a family and we ate as a family. The joy I got from the experience is PRICELESS.... I LEARNED THE POWER OF UNCONDITIONAL LOVE. MY HEART WAS FULL WHEN I LEFT MARTHAS HOUSE. THANKS ARNETTA AND ALL THE LADIES FOR THE LOVE... |
