Long Hollow Baptist Church

Moved to Hendersonville 2 years ago and was looking for a church family after coming from my own “church hurt” and knowing no one from this area. A work friend in town invited me to long hollow and I never stopped coming since! Amazing CR family and truly God loving church staff that wants to help people grow with Jesus and Gods people. I found a place where people live out care and comforting others in the trials of life!

I’m posting this on behalf of a friend who had a difficult experience here. I don’t know all the details he went through, so I’ll keep it general and stick to what I do know. He was treated poorly by some people at the church due to misunderstandings that were never resolved. Gossip started internally and eventually spread outside the church. At one point, a member confronted him face-to-face in a way that felt aggressive. From my friend’s perspective, leadership didn’t address the situation well. It felt like protecting reputation was prioritized over resolving the issue. I also attended years ago and had my own issues. I was accused of harassing people on Facebook after inappropriate content was sent to me and my Facebook friends. There wasn’t evidence I was involved, but I was still blamed. That, plus feeling judged for having different views, made it uncomfortable to stay. Sharing this because it was important to get off my chest. There were some good people there, but the environment ultimately wasn’t what we needed.

I was there strictly for a high school graduation. It is spacious with decent seats and good acoustics. I can't give any recommendations concerning your spiritual walk. I DID speak with someone with a limited amount of information. I was told they had several county music stars who attended this church. That fact, if true, would probably keep me away. I would want to be there to hear the Gospel .. not to be impressed by any stardom. They would only serve as a distraction.
