Lone Star Legal Aid - Belton

If I could give half a star I would. They denied aide to a 100% permanent and total disabled veteran with NO other income, 2 car payments, a house payment and TWO dependants. They need to adjust what they consider to be a LIVABLE allowance from 2000 to 2025. MAYBE 25 years ago that may have been the case. I guess Lawyers have enough money to not know what it REALLY takes to live with today's prices. Not to mention they make you wait FOREVER before they decide to turn you down because you are supposedly are RICH enough to afford a private corporate attorney. Texas Law HELP my butt. Save yourself the time and just try other sources. Unless you live in the a cardboard box on the street you MIGHT get assistance.

They told me they can’t help me due to lack of staff. What’s the point if you can’t help the people??

Its a SHAME I Didnt READ the REVIEWS before i called this JOKE of a PRETEND LEGAL AID Service. I know they CANT be as INCOMPETENT Around the Rest of the State of Texas as they are here in Belton/Temple, but this is downright SHAMEFUL. How do you DENY aid to more applicants than you actually ASSIST?!? And to have a DIFFERENT EXCUSE for EVERY Person (AFTER taking ALL of Their Inforrmation) for WHY You CANT HELP THEM is DIABOLICAL!!! Like WHY even BOTHER WASTING YOUR TIME!!!! Probably should Call HOUSTON HEADQUARTERS and REPORT THIS LOCATION and the TRASH OFFICE MANAGER that. Should just simply RESIGN!!!!
