Trying to get a referral to resources through them is impossible. As a collective we will no longer have them on our resource lists for Montco. You all need to do better- you’re putting vulnerable people in harms way

I had trauma counseling here, after being encouraged by a friend. She was in bucks county though so i feel their program may be different. Just because I don't know how to talk about my trauma I still matter. Their counselors are usually graduate students... it's hard to imagine their having true empathy for people in these situations... it's nice what they do but as someone who has gone through some horrible stuff their program unfortunately didn't work for me and just made me feel bad for even trying.

Any organization that helps women I’m going to be in full support. I did the 5k today and it was beautiful to help victims of DV by giving back. What was a tad frustrating and something we often see even in the media is the lack of empathy for minority women abused. I saw many posters of “in memory of” women who have sadly left this earth due to DV but they couldn’t even show one woman of color- as if we are immune to DV. It was saddening and contributes to the idea that women of color aren’t victims or even if they are they just aren’t important enough- to even put up one dedication photo to. Please do better, you have minority women working at your organization and this is a smack in their face too.
