Total transparency, I came to inspirica with just enough hope to continue on in pursuit of a new beginning, a fresh start at life again with my daughter as life storms and tribulations seemed to be knocking and weighing me down. I believed that the shelter with its mission to transform the lives of others to end homelessness on a full approach method to address not just the physical component but underlying causes of it would indeed help me out of the crisis I was in. Despite my history of trauma I gave it a shot, fully addressing the needs and underlying conditions of what caused me to end up in the shelter to the respected individuals who were entrusted to help provide the services and steady support needed along the way. To my dismay my vulnerability and need for help made me a complete target in that shelter amongst abominable, sadistic, soulless people. I was mishandled, overlooked, and diminished in every possible way. This shelter is based on their reputation to maintain their quantitive results in housing placement and only go the extra miles for the ones they like. Complete wickedness in morality and just stains the hearts of some of the helping professionals there. I would say a wholesome renovation of the people that hold substantial titles preferably (a caseworker and director of temporary housing) in that shelter should be remodeled and replaced with strong, compassionate, and qualitative professionals who not just provide help with housing but make sure every aspect of one’s life is being met and serviced to best of ability. It’s not the result that matters it’s the process in achieving the result that makes a lasting impression. Quality over quantity along with tenderness over insensitivity. There’s a lot more I can say about this negative experience at the shelter to back up my statements but I choose to keep it concise as possible given the lengthy stay and disposition of events that are note worthy. All and all I am Thankful to have gotten out of that dreadful depressing place.

I lived here with my family for 11 months and the services they provided us were awesome is definitely not like your average shelter. I can probably say 3 years later I am still not homeless so thank you so much inspirica.

Inspirica is a unique place. They are listed as a hotel of sorts by Department of Housing, Even Though They Are ONLY for Homeless... They will take 30% of your total income to stay Their... However if you have NO income their will be NO charge Until you get a job... Inspirica Has a Educational Job Training Services Wich They Offer Their Clients For FREE, & Some of these classes are Phlabotamy,CNA, &Even Job Placement. Inspirica Helps Assist It's Clients Who Are Under 20 & Interested in Finishing Highschool to Accomplish That Goal By Re enrolling in Highschool For Teen Mom's, 18-20 & Tutor's if the Person Is Serious to Engage in it. Inspirica Has a After School Education Program for ages 6-19 for all that are enrolled in School, . The Same After School Program That helps After school Is Sponserd By 2 Different Summer Camp Programs During the Summer, 1 Educational Summer Sleep Off Camp, & 1 Summer Day Camp, that runs Mon-Friday for approximately 2 months. They Also Have A Program 3 Days a week for Early Parenting Skills.. *** Now What YOU Take From This Is Up To You... *** I'll Admit most of the Parenting Classes for Early Childhood are turn into a Complain, fest for the clients about other clients and or staff. However with that being said You get out of it what you put into it.. Moving on I need to emphasize that their is Great Staff that Really Care About The Clients.. I Personally Want To Thank the Staff who spend their time listening to our problems & fights with other clients, when we have them, & the Love & Patients that the Staff & Directors Take To Assist Us In The Mess Of Our Selfish & Crisis Minded situations Moving on ..... More to My Review.... Their is also 2Food Pantry's inside the Location of Inspirica Stamford For Homeless That Live In Their Shelter, Preventing the Need For Outside Food Pantrys. Also Inspirica Donates To It's Clients All Christmas Gifts & Birthday Needs If You Are Their Over The Holidays, Which Includes Turkeys & Pre made Food From Local Restraunts that Donate To The Homeless That Live Their On A Regular Basis. Their is Also Donated Yearly School Supplies & New Shoes To ALL Kids In Their Shelter When They Start School.. Need Job Appropriate Clothing ?? The Job Assistance Program that helps Job Training & Placeing Can & Will Also Help With That.. I Personally Would Tell Anyone Who Is Homeless to Contact 211 & get on the Homeless Wait-list for a Placement.. Now Granted .... No-one Gets To Choose Where They will get placed, I mean Which Shelter, However If Your Lucky Enough To Be Placed In Inspirica, You'll Realize That You Are Blessed & It's Better Than Being Homeless In The Streets With Your Kids. They Have Many Other Programs, That I Could Go On & On About, However, I'll Stop Here. I Will Say You Can Stay Up To 2 Years In The Shelter If You Follow The Rules, But You Probably Won't If You Do What Your Counselor ask of you, & Are Serious to End Your Homelessness & Get On Your Feet To Be Independent. I Won't tell you Everything is Magic Coming to Inspirica, However it IS LIFE-CHANGING.... Allow It To Be Life changing for you if you are lucky enough to end up their. Focus on the Positive, Ignore the Negatives & Stay Focused on YOUR GOAL... TO END HOMELESS, & BE HOUSED! Here's Love To All Those Struggling. Allow Inspirica to Inspire Your Life Change Too!!!

It's what you put into it to help yourself they give you the services you need but you need to also put your all into getting better. Marvette and her team are on top of there game its not just a job for them they want you to succeed and give you the tools to do so.The program and staff are beyond words I cannot say enough good things about them .They brought me back to life and i owe them the world .Thank you Inspirica

The staff are all beautiful. When it comes down to getting things done it gets done on their end.. Aside from the staff its like a high school when it comes to the people who are way too comfortable living there..
