My experience with housing Hope has been frustrating to say the least. For almost two yearsI've been dealing with an ongoing leak in my unit, and the response from management has been far from satisfactory. The maintenance team mentioned using a moisture meter to pinpoint the issue, but nothing has materialized. Rachelle Sims, the property manager, seems more focused on dismissing my concerns rather than taking action. Additionally, there's a serious fire hazard with my cooking range; while I was told by the maintenance supervisor that a replacement would be provided, Rachelle claims it’s operating as intended. This level of negligence regarding both leaks and safety issues is concerning. I cannot recommend Coast Property Management based on my experiences.

These apartments are a breeding ground for an unhealthy living. They also truly don’t care about people if they hire a company like Coast property management that neglect their tenants and their cries for help to an unhealthy living environment. I moved in in December 2023 and talked to the landlord about the poor air quality in my bedroom. I was ignored for a year. I decided to escalate the situation to properties supervisor after I’ve spent hundreds of dollars on air purifiers fans and all of the filters. My 19 month old has been sick every other week for a year with respiratory issue. Now, a year later, almost exactly to the date got to air quality test results for high levels of mold in my apartment and high levels of carbon dioxide. There’s no amount of airing out an apartment if there is a poor ventilation system. There is no ventilation system. The only ventilation you can do is open up your windows and fan in some cool air, but that doesn’t clean the air or does all the stair go? It doesn’t go anywhere.. Since having these air quality results, they have done nothing to help the situation so I moved me and my son into a hotel for the next couple of weeks while they decide what they’re going to do because apparently they can’t read a document and figure out a plan within a timely manner. You bet your butt that I hold Housing hope responsible for employing such a professional and incompetent property management company. This is illegal on so many accounts and if you employ a property management company that goes against the law, you are in contempt as well. I will not just sit around and let this happen. I am seeking legal advice and I encourage everybody who has had problems with property management and Housing hope concerning health issues to call the Northwest Justice project and share your story and take them to court as well because this is not going to keep happening to people who can’t afford a hotel or who can’t afford to move and who also don’t feel like they can use their voice because of their income status. Use your voice.

I have been living in a highly toxic environment and have been asking for help since I moved in, primarily due to my health issues and the risks posed by black mold. Unfortunately, my pleas have been ignored. One worker even told my social worker, "She's going to die soon anyway; leave her there, and we'll fix it when we can." This situation ultimately led my social worker to quit her job because she couldn’t work for a company built on false pretenses and lies. Currently, mushrooms are growing out of the baseboards. I had an air quality test conducted, and it came back in the red zone, indicating dangerous air quality. When I performed a mold test, the results were ignored. My doctor even sent a letter stating that I needed to be removed from the premises, but they disregarded that as well. Whenever I shampoo the carpets in the hallway and the back bedroom, the air fills with what looks like a smoky substance. I can assure you that it’s not from my new shampoo; it’s something in the carpets. Additionally, they have called me to inform me that they are monitoring the cameras specifically to watch me, falsely accusing me of selling drugs. If I were selling drugs, I certainly wouldn’t be living here—I would move somewhere nicer! I believe they are harassing me because they know I have a case against them and are looking for ways to protect themselves. In my opinion, they have lost sight of their original mission. This place is uninhabitable, and I was informed by a former employee that they are embezzling money. It’s important to research where you donate your money; this establishment is making us all sick. They do nothing to help. It's time to recognize that this place needs to be condemned.
