They helped me through a really tough start over. My infant son was loved by the staff as they helped me get my identification and job. Shoutout to Kayla who makes the impossible possible and her caring counterpart Megan. They are here to help all the staff is great and if you are trying they will do anything they can to help you.

I went to Hope alliance this past March due to domestic violence situation. I was in a domestic violence situation on and off for 36 yrs...and then my husband died of natural causes. (Figured I sure state that). Never went for counsiling. But after a boyfriend and I had an issue I figured it might be a good idea. The counsiling was unproductive so I stopped going. I didn't learn anything that was helpful..nothing I already didn't know. So my financial situation dramatically changed and I remembered I was entitled to apply for victims compensation. I contacted Hope alliance again to get help with that ..had to wait a month for someone to call me. Then when they finally did that person had no idea of how to help me or that the call was for legal help with application for victims compensation..a supervisor was suppose to call me back but never did. So I was unable to file a grievance...ie: this post. They don't follow through. They don't communicate with one another and frankly I found them to be less than helpful in any area. It's of great disgust that I'm even having to write this review about a batters women shelter. I have helped many girlfriends and women out of abusive situations over my lifetime...they say those who can't help themselves help others...I'm living proof of that. As much as I hate to say this.. especially bcuz there are so many women in bad situations..but from my experience the church was my best form of resources and it wasn't even church I attended. The church whom helped me the most was my best friends church in another county in another town 100's of miles away from me. They helped me with my bills and my best friend and turning to God provided the best support I could have asked for. May God bless everyone and I'm sending an extra prayer for those women out there who don't see a way out and need help. May God guide you to your answers. Abuse is never the solution!!
