Nice place to go to enjoy the outdoors and get involved with community activities

A few years ago, I used to play ping pong at the N. Lamar senior. I was an OK player. Then, I competed against members of the Asiannl American Resources Center, and they were much better. I asked if I could learn from them. They invited me here and that's how I discovered this wonderful center. Besides ping ping, they have a lot of activities for senior Asian but not only ping pong. They have multiple exercise classes, yoga, Tai chi, even dance classes, and sometimes shows and concerts. They also offer cards games and other table games. They offer a garden club where seniors grow their own plants and flowers. Bollywood dancing, cooking classes, technology classes if you want to improve your computer skills. Arts & crafts as well as calligraphy. Health classes and many more. See their website for more info. All of tho say that we are lucky to have such center for seniors in Austin. All of that thanks to the city of Austin.

Eveyone seemed comfortable and friendly. Came down for a Lunar New Year themed craft fair. While I wish it was bigger, they made sure every artistian was of Asian descent.
