Heartland Family Service strengthens individuals, families, and communities in eastern Nebraska and southwest Iowa through advocacy, education, counseling, and support services. Established in 1875, the organization provides a wide range of trauma-informed and evidence-based programs focused on mental health counseling, substance use treatment, problem gambling prevention, domestic violence and sexual assault support, crisis stabilization, housing and homelessness prevention, therapeutic education, and support for victims of human trafficking.
