This place has poor management, the entire team working there is just there for a paycheck, they could care less for the mothers. It's ran like a prison but for pregnant women, everyone there needs to get fired. The only blessing was a temporary roof over your head and supplies for the child but besides that, this place should get shut down, they have rats 🐀 not habitable for someone that's pregnant, along with the abusive chores they give every single day for someone 8 month pregnant is a joke! This place gets enough funding to have someone clean on the daily basis but they keep it for there own wages and make the temporary residents suffer. The organization that's funding this place is going to hear about this by someone.

Harvest Home is a very special place to work. My overall experience was very beautiful and rewarding. I felt that it was an absolute honor to serve woman in such a vulnerable and special time in their lives. I would say that if you feel the call to be of service to others and to make a difference in someone’s life or if you desire for your work to be meaningful in much deeper ways than a paycheck then you will find all that and so much more working at Harvest Home. You will also gain a wealth of valuable experience in this field in a short time. That being said many of the clients we serve are going through very difficult times and many may be dealing with a traumatic past. Thankfully Harvest Home practices trauma informed care which means that if you are highly reactive or feel threatened easily by feedback or self reflection or with occasionally being asked to mediate and work through issues with residents then this may not be the job for you. You definitely won’t be expected to be a Jedi master of emotions but you will be expected to be patient, empathetic, compassionate, and willing to work with clients through hard situations in empowering ways. The staff is very supportive and they work as a team through it all which I very much liked always offering valuable input and advice. The workload can be challenging at times as it seems to be with most non profits so practicing self care is also a must and something I saw highly supported by management. If you decide to join the team at Harvest Home I promise it will be an experience of a lifetime, your hard work will directly affect lives and outcomes. It will hold rewards in ways you never expected and you will never forget it.

This place had so much potential to be what it says it is however, the case managers are definitely for show and they don't follow the purpose. When I stayed here it was the cruelest experience ever that I just left. The upper management needs to regulate more often I suggest and hire sweet genuine people that leave judging up to God. God bless the purpose.

Harvest Home where do I begin! I'm grateful to have found such a place that I was able to call home and feel safe during the last months of my pregnancy. When I gave birth to my daughter it was as if the staff at Harvest Home welcomed a new baby into the family. That's what they are to me and always will be. My family. Without Harvest Home and the beautiful staff I wouldn't have had a place to call home. Much love to all the staff I will forever be grateful. Thank you!!

Harvest Home has been one of my main supports during the course of my pregnancy and after. Being that this is my first child. My life was a drastic change. Harvest Home made the transition a lot easier, with the educational classes offered, I did not have to feel ignorant to the child birthing process. Their spiritual support have definitely encouraged me to keep my faith and take the high road. Their rules I'm the beginning were a little challenging at first because I wasn't used to structure, but it definitely created a safe stable environment.
