If I could give this place a zero I definitely would. Im a pretty chill,quite.and reserve person. I keep to myself, mind my business and I respect everyone. This place kicked me and my children out in below freezing weather for absolutely no reason at all. This is no exaggeration! I had packed 11 bags of mostly my kids clothes. They then held my property and told me that they didnt have the staff to release all of my items and to come back the following day. I proceeded to do just that. I put the bags of stuff they did give me in storage. Over the next few days I called everyday but was told that they were in a crisis situation and couldn't help. Eventually one of them told me that they donated all of my stuff. I was irritated but not upset because they did give me 6 of the 11 bags I had packed myself. Needing clothes for my kids I went back to storage to find that they had put trash and bedding that didn't belong to me in those bags. Im heart broken and sick about it. Im crying as I text. My world is already turned upside down and now this.

I donate and have spoken with several staff members. Wonderful people with a heart of compassion towards DV victims

My husband's work place is doing a collection for this place for christmas. So I went to their website to see what kind of things they need. Mostly cleaning supplies and bedding, pjs for kids. It says specifically they don't take any holiday decor, toys, or books for kids. I guess they don't give joy for christmas. Since it says bedding, I am going to donate kids blankets with cartoon characters on them. You have to donate to these stupid drives to get brownie points from the boss, or worry about retaliation, but I have volunteered at these places and I know they don't really care at all about their clients. Also, do they still refer to their clients as consumers
