When I was 10 years old, now currently 22. This place holds a lot of memories for me. I know it’s kinda late and I don’t know what the conditions are now. But when I stayed here. It was very tough for me. I was going through a lot with my own family, the manager made sure I was safe and had a place to stay with my little brother. We stayed here for 2 years. After being told my grandma no longer wanted custody of us. It was definitely tough, and being a woman, I hated it here. But i made so many memories here. We used to go on trips every weekend. They made sure we were up and ready for school. Mr, John was one of my favorite staff members, he had a funny sense of humor, and I still have a drawing he made for me when I lived there. I’m currently still in touch with a woman named miss Tracee who showed me arts and crafts, and would make every holiday special. I definitely hated it when I was younger, but I hold on to a lot of memories from this place. From always having clothes for all ages, and celebrating all holidays. It was such a blessing to be cared for. Thank you so much for everything. I’ve grown into such a beautiful woman.

My son received FREE services with GSMYC. His counselor really helped my son cope with the loss of his uncle in a healthy way. We also attended their monthly National Family Support Network meeting that GSMYC offers for families it's really alot of fun and was very beneficial to our family! Thank you GSMYC for the positive impact you made in our family.

We are so happy to be apart of such an impactful organization. The resources that they provide has helped my family grow in such a positive direction. The GSMYC provides events throughout the year that we have been able to attend, the counseling is phenomenal and community of dedicated people make this place an amazing asset to families in hays county. I am thankful to be apart of it!
