About This Service
The Granbury Housing Authority provides decent, safe, and sanitary rental housing for eligible low-income families, the elderly, and persons with disabilities. They are currently undergoing a conversion from Public Housing to Project-Based Voucher under the RAD (Rental Assistance Demonstration) program. The organization is committed to promoting adequate and affordable housing, economic opportunity, and a suitable living environment free from discrimination. The program is managed by a locally appointed Board of Commissioners and funded by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The Housing Authority is responsible for planning, financing, constructing, purchasing, leasing, and managing the property subject to applicable laws and contractual relationships with HUD and the local governing body (City of Granbury). They also provide waiting list management and application processing for housing assistance programs.
