Really enjoyed working with the other volunteers here and donating needed supplies and Christmas gifts. You unfortunately cant pre wrap the gifts anymore due to past bad actors, but highly recommend helping out here as they do help the community a ton.

I want this to be ZERO stars! This place will not help you with anything. They help active addicts, but not family’s in real danger or need.. I brought my two kids in as we are homeless sleeping in our vehicle hoping to get some help or even some clothes or any food for my two infants. This is a church right? I was denied help & asked to leave because my tang top was “too” revealing, mind you, this is Tucson & dragging two infants along & being homeless you get very hot. As I left the establishment, I was notified by a resident that every single one of the staff members / even the main managers, talked very disrespectful about me after I walked away. Stating they didn’t want to help me & called me disgusting & a prostitute walking around with two babies… this is absolutely horrible for staff to be saying these things AT ALL. They made me seem to be everything I’m not. Due to this I will be reporting this place & will be getting justice because what I just experienced in there was the devils work !

A lot of the time the staff and procedures are outdated and does not apply to everyone's situation. They have you on a schedule but are late with adhering to the schedule at times too so can hold people back who are moving faster than the organizations stuck-in-their-way methods. If you have basic vitamins they still hold onto them and only have certain times you can take them, but have been told multiple times to come back later or tomorrow, which does not work with other things they want you to do on your "schedule" if you don't have a full time job. They mandate things when that time could be used to job search. Overall the criteria is a bit of a hot mess and unorganized with their methods that haven't changed in years, the economy changing but not this organization, and how it can feel restricted and like a prison at times because of their conflicting schedules and procedures.
