Christy Botto rated 5 a year ago We are so happy we found Forever Young Daycare. Trying to find childcare during a pandemic was a joke. We got a referral that this place had an opening and enrolled our 14 month old. It is so warm and friendly , I feel great about leaving my daughter there all day. The staff is relaxed and loving. My daughter really loves it there. She has built a special bond with Carl, her favorite, and sometimes when I pick her up she doesn't want to leave! They include diapers and food with the tution really what more can you ask for! |
Eric Jensen rated 5 a year ago Our daughter has been attending Forever Young for about three months and we have had a very positive experience. Because it is a very small child care center, we know all of the staff by name and they all know our daughter. They truly love our daughter and take great care of her, which gives me peace of mind when I drop her off every day. Forever Young is a nonprofit, not a business, and parents are actively involved in operation. The director, Selina, has been at FY for decades and most of the staff have been there for a considerable time as well. Because of this and given its size, FY really feels like a community. We would wholeheartedly recommend Forever Young to anyone looking for childcare in Sacramento. |
Kailey Jackson rated 5 2 years ago Both of my children have attended Forever Young, and the most important thing I can say about FY is that the staff and leadership are just absolutely incredible. They truly love my babies and keep them safe, not just while they're at the infant center, but continue to adore and check in on their "alumni" as they grow up. It is so hard to leave your child with anyone, especially starting at such a young age and for so much of the day, but I see how well my kids get along with FY teachers and how much the FY teachers love my kids - they are absolutely the best available infant care in Sacramento. I am so grateful to have such safe, caring staff to support my little ones through these important years for social-emotional development. (I only wish they offered preschool care, too!) Staff are also extremely flexible with facilitating use of cloth diapers, early toilet learning, dietary needs/restrictions, PT/OT visits, etc. to make sure each child's specific needs are met. |
George Kalogeropoulos rated 5 2 years ago My son spent nearly two fantastic years at Forever Young. It really is a special place - the staff care deeply about each child and form strong bonds with them. My son thrived there and still talks about the staff and has playdates with his former classmates. It is a smaller facility - max capacity 20 children - so it's large enough to be professionally organized and run with licensed and accredited staff, but small enough for highly personalized learning and engagement. They've been in operation for over 35 years and staff turnover is low, with multiple staff having been there for over a decade. These ingredients - small size, experienced staff - make for a fantastic environment. Frankly, we didn't realize quite how special FY is until we enrolled our son in a different preschool when he aged out and experienced the relative apathy, high turnover and lack of teacher engagement that we saw at two different (highly rated!) chain preschools. Great childcare is so important and so hard to find - and we are so lucky to have found Forever Young. |
Laura Will rated 5 10 years ago Our daughter has been attending the FY Infant Center since she was 4 months old and we are so happy to have found such a wonderful day care. As first time parents, visiting day care after day care, the process can be so daunting. You think, how can we possibly leave her with strangers all day? But, that quickly changed when we toured Forever Young. We had visited many day care facilities in the downtown area, but none of them could compare to the great staff at Forever Young. Sure, when you first walk through the door you don't see all the new, "shiny bells and whistles" like you do at the giant corporate or state subsidized day cares. However, what really matters is that she is in a safe, clean, caring and nurturing environment. We like the fact that parents must volunteer hours throughout the year. This allows you to get to know the parents and even more so the kids and amazing staff members. Several of the staff at the infant center have been with Forever Young for more than 26 years, most more than 4. We also like that the kids are fed healthy, vegetarian food (and we aren't vegetarian). Our daughter has such the love of veggies and fruits! Our daughter is almost two and she is growing up to be a smart, well-behaved, social little girl. As parents we'd like to take all the credit, but knowing she spends many hours a week at Forever Young, I know the educarers have a lot to do with it. We will certainly miss Forever Young once she ages out. I'm not sure we'll find as good a place to go. |
