First Light

Where do I start? This place is full of a bunch of lazy people who do not apply themselves, all they do is sit around and keep up drama along with the staff, (these are old people keeping up drama, not young ones). The staff does nothing but enable and allow the same people who bully, to stay. But, kick other people out. Word of advice, don’t think that these staff care, because they don’t. Rebecca (or however you spell her name) is very lazy as well, she’s a social worker whom everyone said she does nothing for them. All we did when I was there was eat all day and sit in the dayroom, no type of ambition or nothing. & honestly the staff don’t push us to be productive. This is a good place to stay if you just want to eat & sleep, but if you’re trying to elevate, then this isn’t the place for you. This place is very out dated, they give out bus passes, and refer you to stores that are out of business, I’m so glad I got kicked out , because I immediately found another shelter that welcomed me with open arms, and helped me with resources.

God directed me to this shelter and I’m thankful for it..These women been nothing but helpful to me..I was there for 4 months I communicated what I had going on and worked my tale off.(Fun Fact *You can charge your phone from 5am-10pm )their breakfast on weekends is bomb..don’t give up and work hard while you’re here..Everything will work out for you❤️

They were gracious enough to give me a place to sleep AND play mind games with me too, all in the name of the Lord but Ms. Karon is awesome though!
