The women that work there are so caring and so supportive. The Family Shelter of Southern Oklahoma is such a great resource for Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault victims. Providing safety planning, trauma counseling, domestic violence education classes and support groups, resources for emergency food, shelter, education, and more.

I know women who have been escaping domestic abuse situations, and the family shelter has been amazing. The staff here help with everything from a safe place to stay to supplies for starting a new life to group and individual counseling. They stick with you for the long haul to keep you safe and help you start over.
