We adopted through FLS for two of our five adoptions. They were also integral in the home studies and post placement visits of our other adoptions. Their standards are strong; the people are amazing; and they truly care about finding the best home for every child that God entrusts to them. We highly recommend their services.

FLS is a wonder Place for birth mothers to make the best decision for their children. We have adopted twice through them and have loving relationships with both of our birth mothers and even extended family! Our birth mothers appreciated all the education and love they were given by FLS and one of our birth mothers actually went through the Liberty Godparent Home. She, at 14, came to the conclusion that it was best for her child to be placed for adoption. This wasn’t because she didn’t love him, but because she loved him so much and knew she wouldn’t be able to give him everything she wanted or needed him to have at that time. Both of these mothers chose for themselves as Family Life Services has them make parenting plans as well as adoption plans so they can think through everything and make the best decision they can. They both also wanted open adoptions which we honor and are so glad to have them and their families in our lives as well as our adopted children’s lives! We are all just one expanding family!!

I cannot express enough positive things to say about FLS. We are so grateful to them for helping to guide us through our adoption of our little boy in 2022. They took time to explain things, help us make the best decisions for our family, and have always been patient, kind, non judgmental and full of God’s grace in how they communicate with us. To this day they have still provided me with assistance when I have questions regarding navigating open adoption. We opened our adoption again a year ago and I am so thankful to have the peace and comfort of working with a team who walked it with us once already. One extra thing I’d love to share is that our little boy had to be hospitalized upon adoption and we came from another state without family or friends nearby. FLS became a family to us during that hospital stay. They brought us goodies, food, set up local sleeping arrangements for family who were able to travel and come to Virginia, and provided us with prayer and fellowship. They were more than consultants to me in that moment, and I will forever be grateful!
