Family Gateway

I gave this place zero stars. They did not help my child and I out at all bc I stated I got back on the bus from another state and not spend the night in Texas homeless that night I was denied service. I’ve been living in Texas for almost 10 years now but my situation all of the sudden changed due to a family situation. I sat in the office almost all day until I finally asked for the hr to file a complaint to let them know they have to place me somewhere due to another manager with another agency informed me. I was also denied to speak to someone and the phone number to file a complaint. After a two more hours they finally called me a Uber and sent me to the Salvation Army in Fort Worth. Where they did not have any rooms for a family which my child and I was going to have to stay in a overflow in the gym and sleep on a bad. I felt that was unsafe due to she’s a newborn and an unstable environment not safe environment for her so I left. I found others shelters that wasn’t able to help families but help to refer me back to family gateway which they turned me away again. The staff is rube they no one there cares about helping people this place needs to be shut down they’re only in it for the government money and pick and choose who they want to help. Even tho I’m very qualified for the assistance.

This place is the best, and the Staff is Amazing, u can't beat it! U sleep comfortably, they also prepare meals 3 times a day! U get to wash and they u with washing pods etc. Personal hygiene stuff, have Activities for the kids!! They also have a playground!! And if u need An counselor they can refer u in the right Direction! Family Gateway! Is the right way to go! You just have to be about your Business! And things done! And everything will move smoothly,

This place was an amazing place thay gave me and my family a place to stay when we were suffering Homelessness. The staff was amazing and friendly. The kindness threw out this place and the entire experience was just mind blowing!!! I love this place for everything that they did for my family and for myself!!! I definitely suggest this place if you or anyone you know has children under the age of 18 and is suffering Homelessness or is at risk of homelessness, the kindness found here is definitely God sent!!!!
