I've been to TONS of churches and when I visited The Gathering Place, it felt so refreshing and inviting. The Pastors are servant leaders, humble, approachable, and walk the talk. The people are incredibly kind. The children's ministries couldn't have better leaders. I am so fortunate to have stumbled upon this gem! Definitely come visit!

I love GPC church, the people are so friendly, welcoming and down to earth. Pastor John's sermons are anointed and will keep you laughing, crying and hungry for the bible. The worship is so good!! Great place overall. We meet in a school, but the church is just lifechanging.

Moving from Hawaii to beautiful San Diego, I wanted my family to find a church that was not religious, but to feel the presence of the Holy Spirit and knowing transparent people, being themselves and not someone they are not. Now that we are moving back to Hawaii after attending the Gather Place Church for over 10-years, we are finding it very difficult to move back to Hawaii leaving our church family. Find out for yourself why we are finding it very difficult to leave this church. Sr. Pastor John Ettore and Assistant Pastor Mark Cowper-Smith are totally used by God advancing your walk and fulfilling God's will for your life!

My wife and I visited several churches in north county after we got married and found our new home at Gathering Place Church. We found out immediately that GPC is: welcoming, friendly and loving; the worship is awesome; they believe in the bible and the messages will encourage, strengthen and motivate you; and the prayer is abundant and powerful. In our shared love for God, we are proud to make this our home where we can make a positive impact on the world, our community and you :)

Gathering Place Church is an excellent place to belong and grow. I came from Canada in 2000 and was looking for a place to get to know other believers and grow together. I was very happy to meet Pastor John Ettore at an inter church leadership conference and get to know him and his wife. They are truly genuine people with a strong call of God on their life and a love for people. Gathering Place Church is God's presence centered, Holy Spirit led, worshipful, strong teaching and great weekly groups that are family. I recommend this church to anyone in San Diego area. We even have friends from Canada and Arizona that call GPC their home. Our mission there is Loving Jesus - Loving people - Serving our World.
