This place advocated for an abusive woman who abandoned her home, waited 28 days before file for an ex parte protective order against her husband. While waiting for his hearing she stayed in contact with him. They allowed her to reschedule the hearing 3 times. That alone violated his rights. A hearing is supposed to be held in 14 days because they are granted on an emergency basis. Several violations of real victims privacy was breached. She scammed that place and milked the system and they fell for her lies. She sent pictures and videos of herself and other women/victims of abuse to him. The Man she was accusing of doing so many terrible things to her that was just a bunch of lies. The protective order got dropped on his behalf. This Man has nothing as far as criminal background. This place nearly sponsored her in ruining his name abd reputation. Way to go C. T.

East Texas Crisis Center receives grant funding and countless community donations, yet they could not provide brand new coats for children this winter and no adult coats were available at all. Mr. James gets a clothing rack and a half with used coats and wanted the parents to pick through what they could use. Many families did not get a coat because there was not enough different sizes and colors to choose from! When families are already in crisis, basic winter clothing should not be an afterthought especially when the organization has the resources and support to do better. The lack of proper winter clothing options is disappointing and concerning. Mr. James along with the RA staffs constantly tells the residents they do not have the requested items or they never know how you can access them. I hope they ensure families have access to the essential items they urgently need and stop referring them to other agencies in town to give their residents what they are claiming to offer but do not! PATH in Tyler is doing better than the Crisis Center and they are a smaller organization and they are giving out free and new coats for the winter!

If I could give this place a zero I would. Me and my children left a bad situation to step out in faith and come here. This place has caused me more PTSD than needed. The staff are very unprofessional they gossip about our situation and kids all day. They allow certain women to be verbally abusive to other women because they love the drama. The shelter director Camesha should be revoked from her position because she is messy drama filled and unprofessional. Ashley the caseworker she picks and choose to to provide resources too she should be investigated as well. This place has so much potential only if the right people were in the right positions. They have 2 vans and refuse to assist women to Dr appointments or even help find employment so many women has missed out in opportunities because Ashley sets them up for failure all she does is sit at the RA station and talk about everyone many of us think she is prejudice against black women because of how she refuses to help. The only thing she does is tell us what they can't do, what we can't do and what funding is not available. The reasons is she gets off by denying us she has a smerk in her face when she tells us what she can't do especially when we asks about transportation to job interviews. The tell us to use bus passes which are limited to only 2...like this place receives thousands of dollars in donations and only 2 bus passes?!! Right! And I asked her what about the women who's abusers are in the area that's not logical to be standing out waiting for a bus. Women are being out in danger by their neglagnce and uncaring attitudes. I would hope that Nicole who is over the shelter would investigate and clear that place out and put people who care into the right position. I'm sure she doesn't know all that is going on. Someone is going to get hurt there. Camesha, Ashley and the evening RA Linda should be fired. And i have documents to prove it. So if someone who cares see this post comment and reach out I will provide you with information of what is really happening in this place.
