My experience with this clinic is one of the best I have ever had, if not the very best.
I made an appointment and was able to be seen in the same week. Making the appointment online was almost absurdly easy, and I was seen by a doctor within less than half an hour of wait time.
The folks at check-in were extremely nice and I immediately felt comfortable sharing personal information with them. The ladies taking vitals were all very personable and made me laugh with their sidebar conversations.
I wish I could remember my doctor’s name, but she was a younger lady who I found refreshingly comfortable and easy to talk to.
I am an uninsured individual, and the reason for my visit was due to some weird blemishes that’s showed abruptly on my skin in the rib area. I shared with her before showing the blemishes that I am a female-to-male transgender person, so while I presented as male, I still had “female” breasts, and didn’t want to catch her off guard.
She was INSTANTLY receptive, and even asked my preferred pronouns — something that is honestly unheard of compared to other clinics I’ve visited, where I may have felt judged or condescended, and perhaps not have received the care I needed. She watched the door to make sure no one walked in while I partially undressed to show her the blemishes, which made me feel very safe with her.
She took a picture of the affected area and just so happened to know of a dermatologist that could properly identify the spots. It turned out to be a fungal issue — not tumors, like webmd had be paranoid about — and i received an ointment to treat the spots.
This was all a thing absolutely zero cost.
If you are person who struggles financially, or an LGBTQIA+ individual who has felt threatened in a medically setting, I cannot recommend this place enough. These people are doing God’s work in a world where medical care has become a business instead of a service every person deserves the right to. Thank you ALL for what you do!! 🙏
