They brought a male therapist to facilitate our women's survivor group without warning any of us. They were short handed, so they just decided it would be fine. It got real quiet once he joined.

Being assigned a young, privileged, male therapist was a bit triggering/unhelpful for me, as he couldn't really relate to anything I was going though, which would lead him to unintentionally do some damage. Hotline is hit or miss, as others have said. Better than nothing, so two stars.

The hotline doesn't give a damn about anyone who calls. Don't call here, especially if you're going through a hard time or need help. They're cold, impersonal, and will just read through a list of stuff rather than showing any hint of empathy. There's so many better options. A brick wall would show more empathy and kindness than this hotline
