Advocates!! Do NOT send your clients here and nor if they are black. I am telling you! My advocate was right next to me when we were calling shelters and crisis center was the only one way to say yes. I clearly stated I was 36 weeks pregnant over the phone. After family to freedom took me from Denton tx to Durant oklahoma, and after doing intake it took for a staff to ask me how far along I was to get the idea I was 36 weeks pregnant. They said they were misinformed and the intake person was a "baby" ..what ever that means. Making excuses for her telling them i was 28 weeks pregnant. I was told during intake I would have a couple of days to figure something out. Which I had no problem at all because my main focus was on san antonio for legal reasons. Oklahoma is definitely not the place I wanted to stay as this is my first time even traveling out of state. I then later on that day told I had until the next day at 2pm to leave.. It was after 4 and I was in the works of getting into a maternity home so I thought nothing of it escalating to what it did today. Staff have lied and made me leave saying it was a liability to them if I were to die or the baby die before the ambulance got there .. saying I couldn't be there being 36 weeks pregnant because it was a liability although it is a family shelter. It escalated into police being called because I did not want to be stranded somewhere in the heat with multiple luggage in a state I didn't know about.i have filed a complaint and suggest to please not come here. This was very evil and I agree with all the one star comments.
