Me personally as a girl who stayed at compassion house for about two months and had my baby there and everything it was hard being away from you family depending on how far you live me personally I lived 4 hours away made it difficult yes I did get to see my family every Sunday after church and have phone calls. My first 2 weeks were probably my hardest weeks I was at the end of my pregnancy 4 hours away from home and I didn’t know anyone. After a little and me letting myself out there it got a lot better I started feeling at home and I kind of just had to accept it even though I didn’t want to.then I started to realize it’s not that bad we get to do stuff it’s kind of just like being at home with a new family or staying at like a summer camp or that’s how I tried to think about it. I will admit me going in to labor was not the best and I’m not blaming anyone because I don’t think nobody knows what was going on but like I said I don’t think it’s was the best. There’s a lot of stuff that you will have to do even if you don’t want to such as making you baby go to daycare at 6 to 8 weeks I’m just not a fan of that. But compassion house did teach me a lot I don’t think I would be where I am at without them yes I didn’t agree with some of the things that they did but that’s how it will be everywhere. The staff are amazing we get to go to church every Sunday and Wednesday. We get to go on outings and so much more we go to our regular doctor appointments and everything else that needs to happen. No I would not say that I would send my baby here but it really depends on the situation I personally feel I need it not at the beginning though I was mad but I know I needed it and some teen moms need it to. But anyway compassion house is a great place and and teaches you so much and shows you that you can do this even though it’s so hard I really enjoyed compassion house and I think other people can to and why your there don’t be scared to tell staff what is happening such as if another staff is being mean to you or other moms are being mean to you or stuff at school is happening or anything. That’s pretty much all I have to say!!

Compassion House is a local ministry our business and family believes in. We've been volunteering and giving to Compassion House for years. The new Executive Director is taking the ability of Compassion House to minister to young women in their greatest times of need to a whole new level.

I volunteer for Compassion House. I give time and money to this organization because I love and believe in the mission of Compassion House. It is so wonderful to see these girls grow and learn to be mothers and successful women. I am so excited about the changes that new administration have started to implement. It is obvious that the staff loves and cares so much for these girls and pours into them above and beyond the job. They truly want these girls to be happy and feel like Compassion House is a home. If my daughter was in a situation where she needed this type of support, I would have no hesitation about Compassion House.
