This is a highly disturbing organisation operating under the notion that a repeat DV couple and/or stalker is best dealt with by allowing the abuse from an offender dodging the law to be perpetuated until the victim retaliates. Then they support the victim being criminalised for the defence as an “end to the problem”. CBV tricked me and intimidated me into repeatedly being harassed AT THEIR CENTER by a woman who has stalked and sexually assaulted me for years. After they helped HER force contact with me through their center, the stalker-rapist went to another country and used misleading letters from CBV to get mental health professionals to also force more contact, claiming this woman was “a victim seeking reconciliation” and tormented me further. The leveling-to flip narcissistic abuse so so horrific and has ruined my life, my children were endangered, mixed into political turmoil and we could not get the protect we sought. They were eventually killed. My children are dead because of the horrible working ideology of CBV. Never ever go to CBV, you never how they may decide to rewrite your story, nor how a severely disordered stalker-rapist will use it in another context.

Community Beyond Violence, formally known as DVSAC, was a safe haven for me. I had the crap beat out of me, scars to prove it, my kids hurt, harassed and terrorized. I came to this organization to help and they did, all great and dandy. But, years later their legal team is supporting my abuser and going to bat for him in court after years of my abuser using the court system to harass me, nothing to do with seeing his children as he has had ample opportunity. I am absolutely appalled and will not keep quiet about this. Just remember folks, community beyond violence will help your abusers to continue to torment you. Disgusting and deplorable.
