What a shame they’ll not help anyone unless it’s suited rightfully in their eyes. Wouldn’t worry about ever calling wouldn’t even be my last resort interrupts you and not concerned for your well being and discards everything. Not listening at all. The audacity people have to pretend they want to help and tell you it doesn’t matter what happened. And people wonder why people stop asking for help.

This place is unbelievable and both discouraging and disheartening to say the least. My friend called to seek help from her abusive relationship, which by the way was a major first step for her to start. She has no family, friends or any kind of support other than her abusive fiancee. She stays there because her options are there or the street, period. She overcame her initial fears of even admitting her situation and seeking out for help and made contact with Zanett Ellington at the Tranquility House in Cartersville, GA. Ms. Ellington asked her several questions such as if she had kids and did she own a car. My friend replied that she had no children, no car and no money. Zanett proceeded to tell her that they had no beds available but would advocate for her and call other facilities. After about a week, my friend had to email her back to see what the results were and did she find any other resources. Finally, Ms. Ellington replied that she was sorry she never followed up and that she called 20 different places and none of them could help due to no beds available. This is by far the worst and most unacceptable situation I have ever seen. First of all, being a safehouse, one would think the very first question should be, "Are you safe right now"? Not only did Ms. Ellington care less of my friends safety status but failed to even get back to her and once questioned her reply was noone has beds. Sorry for your luck. Wow. That is so sad to see a facility shut someone down like that who finally had the courage to make the first step by admitting her situation. I believe that some people are in the wrong positions in organizations and actually have a huge negative impact overall which hurts everyone involved. I pray that God will intervene and actually help this person as well as others in desparate need.
