I had an exceptional experience getting my first hearing aids at Chicago Hearing Society. First of all, they have free parking. Yay. The building appears spotless. The reception people were nice to me. I went once to get fitted and two weeks later, I got a lesson from the Audiologist, Rose. She answered all my questions and then some. I really appreciate her kindness, sensitivity and sense of humor. Thank you!

The one audiologist knows ASL and she is super friendly, engaging. The two receptionists at the front do not know ASL and kept talking to me while they were holding my hearing aids, expecting me to lip read and they had to grab a hard of hearing worker to interpret for them. They also lack jobs placement and support programs but they can provide advocacy to a point.
