Tried to donate new toiletries and clothes and the attendant was extremely rude. Her tone was degrading and condescending. I pray no woman in need comes across the sad excuse of an employee that I spoke with on Aug 12, 2024 around 1:30p. She is pathetic and needs to work somewhere where compassion and competence isn’t required.

Called the center at night and was hung up on over and over, I donated to this place in the past, and when I needed help one person answered and basically told me she was too busy, and to call back in the morning. It's not a 24 hour crisis line if no one answers, and the one time they do they tell you to go away.

On November 2, 2023 I was put out of my home I shared with my abuser. I had to go to Norton Hospital for physical injuries and mental/emotional abuse from my children’s father current and past abuse. Once at hospital the staff did not address my concerns of domestic abuse and when I asked repeatedly for someone to help the hospital emergency head nurse finally called Center for Women and Children to assist but later in phone call indicated at that time I did not qualify to be accepted at that time because they only had room for individuals who had children and did not have a place for me. After being put back out to the waiting room with no resources and into an environment where I was put back into the same situation and not even seen for previous physical and mental abuse by my children’s father, no wheelchair because I am a below knee left leg amputee, no place to go and ignored, I finally was able to get someone to pick me up…. I’ve called all the places on the Homelessness list (which should have been added a Domestic Violence advocate help list) no one has given me any counseling or place of safety proving to me the city of Louisville Kentucky failed me as a citizen and person in need of medical attention for my mental and physical abuse and current health needs, but still after contacting the Louisville Metro online site gave me the same information given by hospital and domestic violence so called advocates and/or services.
